Just thought I would bump this up.

I've been struggling hard keeping up with all the stuff going on with the forum shop and blog! I would appreciate any help with promotion as possible. I tweet posts as often as possible to bring people to the forum and your shops as well.

The spirit of community is important here, I've spent the last year promoting other peoples work 99% more than I've spent promoting our own shop. We have had more sales because of it. People look to me to tweet and stumble their work, well I will the best I can, but there is nothing stopping anyone else from tweeting, stumbling, digg, or any number of social sites.
So once again I'm asking for support, if the forum has been good to you, please help promote it. It will benefit you and others as well.

Also if you haven't grabbed one of our badges yet for your blog or website, just click the badge link on the top toolbar and get one. This is very helpful to our outreach efforts.

If you happy with your experiences here I would love to hear about it so post it here or wherever you want. We try hard to support handmade and our members, it nice to get some feedback.

Anyway April 14th is our one year anniversary, I think we have done ok so far ;D

How would one go about doing this stumbling and tweeting you speak of?  I don't really know about all of this blogging and tweeting and such (a green horn, if you will) and thus wouldn't even know where to begin.

Twitter.com
and Stumbleupon.com
Just join and start tweeting and stumbling.

Twitter is like a micro-blog but with millions of readers in real time.
Stumble Upon is a bookmarking site, but it has lots of readers who are looking for what is different on the web. So it has a running timeline as well.

I will tweet about this as often as I can.  I'll also try to get one of the badges up on my blog.  I did a tutorial about how to make a mosaic birdfeeder back in about April/May.  Would you want to put that up on the Handmade Forum blog?  Is that what you mean when you say to write an article for the blog? Not sure if I'm understanding right.  But if you'd like to put it up, (it was a little long) I'd be glad to do so.  You can check it out here, if you want to see it ahead of time:

Thanks Andrew.  I'll check out the post about posting to the blog and see if I can figure out how to do my tutorial in Wordpress.  I may have to shorten it, though.  It's quite lengthy. :)

Hello Andrew,
I put your badge on my blog.  It's a fairly new blog, and I haven't been able to tend to it too much due to home/health issues.  Now that things have settled down a bit, I'm going to try to promote and get the word out.  Thank you for constant dedication and hard work spreading the new about "Handmade".  Remember what goes around comes around, with your love and devotion to crafters and what they do.  Success will come to you ten fold.
I blog about unique craft finds and business tips.

First off, good to see you back!  Now, you could do a short write up about your contest along with a link to your blog...might get you some traffic

Hi :) I found the badge and added it to my blog www.marionetteshop.com - is there something like a press release or a text I could use too? I would be happy to write a blog post about HAF and add some more links etc.

I have a blog and put the badge on it. I will also feature artist from here if anyone wants. I also have a "favorites" I post on my blog and will do one with just HAF members. Anything I can do let me know. I am still trying to figure everything out on this site.
Christine

I just sent a tweet out for you :) Beautiful things you make.

I would love to help you guys do stuff here but my greatest problem is that I cannot find my way around on this website.

I am hoping that the new website is more user friendly where we do not get lost so easily and things are easier to find.

The shop is what's going to be new, not the whole site.  This place is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.  Meanwhile, don't be afraid to just ask.

I've finally figured out how to add the badge to my blog. It's not the most active blog on the planet, but every bit helps! I'll also try to do more tweeting about HAF. Thanks for all of the hard work that you do!
