On the right hand side you can register, unfortunately you need to register for the forum and blog seperately, you can still use the same user name and password though if you choose.
as for colors and layout we will always take suggestions we have someone designing and new theme for the forum now and we are planning on incorporating that design into the blog so that the two work together seamlessly. It's going to take a while though we are waiting for an SMF update first.

Is the blog added to the "Networked Blogs" on Facebook?  If it were I (and others without "WordPress" accounts could "follow" it!  If you want, I can add it to the Facebook blog list for you!  Aprilee

Sure you can add it that would be great. if you want to pm Twas Brillig and let her know she handles our fb page and I'm sure would be happy to get any suggestions to make our page better and get more exposure if you have some tips or tricks.

Also the blog is self hosted so you don't need a wordpress account to follow it. you can register on the right hand side and you can also grab the feed burner feed on the top right if you want.

BTW: does everyone know that you can now link your Facebook Fan Page w/your "Twitter" acct.? Everything you post on your FB Fan Page is tweeted!

Thanks for the response.  If you already have someone working on the layout, then I'm sure they are using some of the same colors that are on the HAF logo for the blog and forum, which is probably the best way to tie everything together.  Good luck.
