Holiday knitting
« on: August 04, 2010, 01:32:54 AM »
I have a bit of a ramble here about the craziness that us fiber people endure, knitting Christmas stuff in August.  I've started these for holiday gifts and thought I'd share my first attempt.

Very nice!  I am SO not ready for winter, though.  Give me at least Halloween first.

Cuuuuuuuuute!!!!

Honestly, I've been kind of looking forward to fall and winter...not the eventual snowfall, but just the seasons and holidays. I'm really digging the warm weather right now, but I've been thinking about pumpkin pie, apple orchards, hay rides, bonfires........

Fall is my fave season and Halloween my fave holiday.  I'm looking forward too, but not past Halloween yet.

I adore those socks! Are they really soft?? I will have to get some red or green jammies, LOL!

Very nice! I love Fall and tend to give up on the holiday stuff altogether. I used to do some, but the local shows get saturated with holiday things. I have kept some fun patterns to make gifts though.

Thanks guys!  I appreciate the looksies and tweets. :)

LazyT, I agree with you on that.  Seems like most of the fall craft shows around here are actually Christmas marts.  Not a bad thing, but we're not big decorators or seasonal-themed gift givers.

Really Nice … I never attempted a pair of socks.  I am so afraid of one be bigger or smaller than the other… even if worked on circular needles.

It's beautiful! Is it for wearing or for hanging?
