Facebook Spotlight Revival — How It Works & Sign-Up
« on: May 30, 2010, 12:42:09 PM »
As you can read here, Rachel (Flying Cheese Toastie) of Rachel Elliott Glassworks deserves a big thank you for starting and maintaining the HAF Facebook Spotlight. I've volunteered to pick up for her, using the list as it stood on April 24.

This is a commitment. Here's how it works:
• I'll continue the format of posting 2 Facebook Spotlights per week (one on Wednesday evening, one on Sunday). The first Spotlight will be next Sunday, June 6.
• Everyone on the list will do a quick Facebook post for the featured member. This will build lots of links for whoever's featured, and when it's your turn, you'll get the same benefit.
• Once you've posted on your Facebook page, come back to the current Spotlight topic and let us know where we can see your post. This is important. This way we can comment on your post, providing additional links for all of us. I will track this; if you don't follow through, you'll be bumped off the list. Of course, "life happens." Just keep in touch if you have a problem.

If you'd like to join, just reply to this topic and please be sure to include the link you'd like to promote.

If you're on the current list and need to be removed, just let me know, either by replying to this topic or by PM'ing me.

I'm posting the list as it stands now in a separate thread and will update it as it changes.

I've been trying to keep up with the FB postings (although I'll admit I'm not the greatest).

Whew... 50 'fans' and I get to shorten the link, right?

Yeah, originally it was 100, but I think they shortened it to 25.

Golly, I'm not really sure I understand how this works, but I'd like to try it.  I'm on Facebook, have a fan page at http://www.facebook.com/DianaShyeJewelry and a profile page at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=1237443000.

I'd be interested to promote the following links:

http://handmadeartistsshop.com/DianaShyeJewelry.html

http://www.DianaShyeJewelry.etsy.com

http://www.flickr.com/photos/DianaShyeJewelry

Will be glad to post promotions for others on Facebook if I can figure out what you are suggesting.

Diana, gotcha! Check my Facebook fan page to see a posting: http://www.facebook.com/LTDBeads. Basically, the intent is to create a group that builds links for all its members. If you've still got questions, please ask.
