Hello everybody!  I'm new on to Etsy, oreven selling items that I make. I have been toying with resinand glow in the dark powders for three years now. I tried once befor to sell on Ebay, but the auction format cost me more than I made. I thought it was just another idea that would go nowhere. I didn't even make anything new for a year. Then I found Etsy googling crowd sourcing while I was playing with graphic designs I was making. It took a sec to realize what it was, but now I'm so happy I have found it.
Sales aren't going through the roof, but I am happy knowing that thereare people who find m,y work interesting. Its a little more difficult because of my own niche that I have placed myself in. Everyone imagines the usual boring items that you can see glows in the dark a mile away. I like the fact my designs have a day side, a night side, and bothe look good.
Anyone else have a unique niche? I love to see other peoples work that strays outside the box.
Thank you for adding me to your forum,
                                    Jason Messer    www.myglo.etsy.com

Very cute stuff, and funky!  As for a niche, I'm not sure I've got anything really truly out of the box, except myself - I'm a lawyer/face painter/soaper.  So in general, I'm probably one of a kind.   ;)

What a great idea!  Although I can't have anything glowing in my bedroom anymore... after the "incident" I got rid of that stuff.

I love your shop, and others seem to also, judging by the number of sales you've had in such a short time!  :)

... and as for you, Aimee, what incident??? ROFL!!  ;D

I like it!!!  I see a lot of different mediums being used here~ polymer clay, glass blowing, metal working...  Very cool!  You are a crafty individual!

I like the little bug too. Still trying to perfect a design. I like not being a one dimensional shop. I need to organize my shop soon into categories. Still need to do the Google analytics too. I will finish my profile shortly.

Incredibly cool stuff!  I, too, am working on a niche completely different than yours!  I truly believe that baby stuff doesn't have to be "pink" or "blue!"  Even though mine hasn't caught on like yours has (congrats), I'm encouraged to know that different is still okay!

Baby *definitely* doesn't have to mean pink & blue!  My 4-month-old nephew has a jungle-themed room, with lots of browns & sage greens.  My sis & bro-in-law did NOT find out the gender prior to birth, and still got tons of baby clothes at the shower because I instructed guests to avoid the pinks & blues.

Definitely doesn't have to be pink or blue!  My son's first room was tan and cream with teddy bears all over the walls!  Of course now that they are older, the more "boy" the better.  We have had baseball, military, and now it is all bright white with black "skater" graphics painted all over.
