I made these to wear on stage this weekend.
« on: February 18, 2010, 11:40:26 AM »
I got this pattern from a friend on Etsy. I looked for days to find just the right pair of fingerless gloves for the show that I am doing this Saturday. I finally saw this pattern and decided to make them myself.  This is a vintage pattern from the 1940's.  They took me about 2 days total to make but I think they are just perfect.  What do you think? The next ones that I do are going to be embellished with either fun fur or fun beads or maybe even both.  Thanks for looking. 8)

They're great!  Is this a play or do you sing?  Cabaret?

Absolutely perfect!  Really beautiful gloves that you should be proud of.

Yes, crocheted, it is called a filet pattern.  Actually really easy to do.
Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
Have a great weekend.

They are being used on this listing by the person who sold me the pattern for them.  http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=41037741

Very nice! Must have been thread. I cut the sleeves of a black tshirt once and added long crocheted sleeves. Turned out nice. These days I enjoy the regular yarns, not so much the small thread.
I like these!

I'm a huge fan of peacock feathers -- not sure how they would be integrated but with the cool black of your gloves, might look cool!

How was the gig?

Gig went pretty good. We were not really prepped as much as I would have liked to have been, but not bad.  Thanks for asking.
