Are you asking about the ads on the sidebars?  If so, the ones on the right are sold through project wonderful.  The ones on the left are rotating ads of our members.  We can add  yours also!  Head for this thread http://handmadeartistsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,202.0.html  where it explains how it works.

She is talking about the square ads on the sidebars of the forum.  The left side is members of the forum which we put up as a promotion, free of charge, to promote handmade.  It is explained here http://handmadeartistsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,202.0.html  The right sidebar ads are Project Wonderful (paid) ads.

Would love to get to grips with Project Wonderful. I still don't really get it. How do you sell ads through there? Can you place ads with them?

It took me a while to really get a handle on ProjectWonderful...but if you click around a bit it makes more sense.  You can either sell ad space on your site or blog (like we do down the right side of the forum) or you can bit on ad space on other peoples sites and blogs to bring traffic to you (which we also do).  You can look at the available ad sizes; everything from small boxes like we have to large banner ads, and then bid for the space.  If you win the spot your ad will display until someone outbids you.

Oh right, so your ad could disappear at any time. Does this mean the ad space just gets more and more expensive? Is there a way of knowing what level it's at?

Rather than try to explain here the ins and outs of ProjectWonderful; here is their FAQ section.  What you do with it really depends on your goals and ad budget.  You can keep track of your spending as well as what your ads are bringing in as well as the traffic you get.  Hope this helps!

That is odd, I wonder why you can't see them....anyone else not see the ads on the sidebars of the forum?

Are you using an ad blocker of some sort?
