That is so cool!  I've made paper out of old newspapers and such but never seen any made from grass!

That is unbelievable!! I can't even imagine, I find it hard to take a shower or brush my teeth in a day let alone pounding fibers for 2 hours...and everything else!  Thanks for this I'd love to try it someday!!!

I've made paper - from scraps of paper - and loved it.
so, I'm curious, about the soda ash - what does that do and where do  you get it?  what happens if you don't use it?
Not sure I could pound away for 2 hours, but I love the look of this paper.

This is really cool~ I've never seen the paper making process before.  I need a glossary of terms though~ what is a deckle, exactly?  It appears to be a separate entity than the frame but somehow combined?

Have you ever tried rose petal paper?  What do you think about that concept?  (Maybe even flower petal paper in general but I was thinking of the benefit of scent, especially with the gentle heat from a bulb.)  Your sculpted lamps are really, REALLY cool!
