My 2nd chainmaille inlay: "Bloody Yell"
« on: January 07, 2010, 03:52:23 PM »
Hello! I finally found the right fuchsia wire, so I'm off and running on inlay #2. It's inspired by Edvard Munch's "The Scream." It will have a total of 22,540 total rings when complete. I have 6 whole rows so far--woohoo! :)

I'll have progress pics on my blog (http://e-maille.blogspot.com/). Let me know what you think as it comes together. :)

Here is a link to my first chainmaille inlay "Ol' Blue Eye" if you're curious (http://www.e-maille.com/shop/items/mw-00300.asp)...

Thanks! Erin

I can't even begin to imagine taking on a project like that!  I am going to be dying to see it finished!

Me either! I'm too impatient for something like that! And I don't do chainmaille.

I think that "The Scream" was mentioned in another topic previously... that's an awesome painting!  I can't wait to see your inlay when it's done!!!  8)

:-\ can't even imagine the pile of rings!  On the other hand I am jealous of your willingness to do these kind of projects.

And people used to say *I* had patience.  Ha, next to you, I'm an amateur.  Can't wait to see more!

I went to your bloggy and also took a look at your 'ol blue eye' - very cool indeed!  You obviously have great patience.
I paint because I want everything finished yesterday  (probably because I'm quite sanguine in personality), so I really admire your patience - beautiful work!  I can't wait to see the finished creation.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I admire anyone who can paint. I've tried watercolors, acrylics, oils--I suck equally as well at all. :) I'm almost a 1/4 finished...
