Cool - thanks Rachel
I've had the page a few months and a very good RL friend who plugged it to all her gamer buddies on there! lol But I haven't really got to grips with much, if any, of it... Apart from playing silly games

I've been writing some basic guides to using Facebook, which I've added to the Frit Happens Forum Team page, I'll add them to the HAF page as soon as I can. Please excuse the fact it's my profile and information being used within it as I did delete it all afterwards!
These are written from my own experiences and are not meant to be a definative guide, so please feel free to add any comments and tips that have worked for you. I've tried to include things that might help with promotion such as character limits and as many of the variations as I can think of.
One of the things I like about Facebook is that if you have messed up, there's usually a 'Remove' button next to what you just did so you can just start again.

It sounds feasible but I am alittle concerned that my family and friends on facebook will feel spammed if I participate.

Penny, I understand your concern, what I would suggest is you simply stick to writing posts on your professional Page, rather than your personal profile. That way it will only be sent to your fans, who have opted to hear from you about the arty side by becoming your fan.
This is also why it won't be a daily thing, as that could get too much as well. So hearing from you once a week about another artist should hopefully be refreshing and engaging.

cool, yeah, so I would post a link in my status, and people could share links with my facebook fan page too. I've already started a discussion inviting people to post their fanpage address and etsy shop address, they could also post their haf shop.

Thanks Rachel - I spent ages mooching around the so-called "help" pages and could never find out how to do the name setting.

Now that's one thing I can actually answer!
Click onto anyone's business page and look down the left hand side of the page.
Click on the option "Create a page for My Business" & follow the steps - it's dead easy from there on. The challenge is attracting 'fans', but post your link on here and any other forums you're on and you should start building them up quickly
