How does one get their blog added to this list? 

I just started my blog not that long ago and am still trying to figure out Blogspot...how do you add badges and such to the side of your page so people can click on them?

Oops, I didn't see this ban on FB so have already done a post on my page for the first week.  I was told that FB members could see it and only needed to be my fan to 'like' or comment on it, but I'm looking at this to see if it can be rectified in my page settings.

I'm a little sad that I can't be one of the 'Hottest Artists' just because I dont' have a blog...

Good news for Facebook fans! They have changed things. Now you can set who can see your posts, at least on personal pages. You can choose from certain people, your friends, or everyone! Just thought that I would throw that in there and let you know that. I do not know if it is the same on business pages.

If you go into "customize," and "layout," you'll see on the left "add a gadget."  To add a badge, click on "add a gadget," and then the one that allows you to add html.  Get the html code for the badge, put it in the box, and save it.  The badge will show up in the spot when you go back to your blog.

Thanks, Larissa!! I finally changed the look of my blog a bit today. It already looks better than that white and grey default template. And I added a badge! Hooray!

A blog ring is simple!  Basically I add you to the list and each week one of the participants is the featured artist for that week.  Everyone in the ring does a blog feature on the artist of the week and we all run to comment on it.  It gives exposure to the featured artist as well as to your blog.  So far, the participation has been great!  I will be happy to add you...the new featured artist goes up every Sunday, so watch the thread for the new week.  You will be added to blog ring 2.  you can see who else is in your ring here http://handmadeartistsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2588.0.html .  I hope I am making sense; I just went out to dinner and my brain is like mush from eating way tooooooo much!

I just realized that while I posted my blog info almost a month ago, I forgot to keep checking back and doing my part in this blog ring.  And now I can't figure out what I need to do to be part of it.  Can someone help?

Then be sure to come back and post a link to your blog article so we can all read and comment on it, thus building your traffic and learning about the feature artist
