I'm in!  This is a great idea!  My blog (brand new) is at http://speranzajewelry.com.  Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

I would love to be part of this but don't have a blog and don't feel I can stretch to creating one as well as the twitter/facebook/ forum activities oh and the actual day to day running of the business!

Would it be possible to participate via Facebook at all?

I'd love to be a part of the blog ring. I try to blog often...many times it is more than a few times a week so featuring another member's blog would be fun.

Linking to each others blogs can make a huge difference for everyone involved. Many times I get lazy and neglect my blog and eventually my orders slow down. Then once I start posting again the orders gradually pick back up. There is a definite benefit and if we get in the habit of sharing links with each other it's great for SEO.

Let me know what to do and when...I'll be there!

I'll admit it here...I'm a FB idiot!  Yes, I have a page and don't do anything with it.  I've clicked around, but haven't spent enough time there to really understand it.

Here is what is required of a ring and you tell me if you can do that on FB.  Every week we have one member as the "it" person.  Everyone in the ring writes a blog post about that person's shop/blog/site/etc and then comes to the forum and puts a link to what they wrote so we can all go click happy and comment driving traffic to the blog that writes and to the shop they are promoting.  If you can do something like this on FB let me know and I will add you to the ring.

I am compiling the list, first come first serve, and will start a new thread getting the ring started with the requirements.

I'm in and I'll run the ring...you have enough to keep track of with Spread the Love!  I am done with school (Yes, after 3 LONG years I've finally graduated 20 years late!) and need something to keep me busy while I figure out what to do next.

Wonderful!! and congratulatios btw  it's better  late than never!

Okay with facebook, you can write-blog like in your notes but only friends can read it...I have my notes liked to blogger so everything I post on my blog is copied to facebook for my friends.

You might be able to write something up on your fan page - I haven't figured that out yet- but once again only fans can comment on it which is good for you- get more fans that way...

I don't know how facebook ranks with SEOs.

I've been intending to include HAFteam members on my blog, so this will give me the kick in the pants I need to get started!

I'd be honored to feature HAFteam shops on my blog ... it'll give the thing a little class ...

Thanks and glad your in, just to clarify though this is a forum wide deal not just HAFteam! We wanted to do something that all our members could participate in.

Great to see all the responses. I will be creating a board just for the blog ring so that all the posts and weeks can be kept in order in one spot ;D

Major league DITTO!!!

Thank you for saying that!! I just don't understand how to navigate around Facebook...I need a serious tutorial for that site. I thought it was too complicated.

I set up a fan page but have no clue how to get to it...well...I can get to it but I couldn't figure out how anyone else would. I got frustrated and gave up. It's just as well...it gives me time to focus on where I want to be. :)

I have a facebook page for my studio which currently has 115 fans, I authorise everything I post on there to be public accessible but I think you stil might have to have a facebook log on to see it without a direct link.

It's also set up to Tweet everything I post on there and vice versa.

I can understand if you don't want to complicate things with adding facebook, but I don't mind being the experimental side to it either!

Although I have not started a blog yet, I intend to, and would be interested in the blog ring once I get started with that. I guess getting started installing that blog would be a good resolution to make for the new year!

Great!  My blog has sat for way too long with no action...resolution one; get my self organized!  Let me know when you have it up and have an address and I will add you to the list.

Well, I can honestly say that I made and kept my new year's resolution. I put up a blog today, hurray! I looks like crap, but it's up and I have my first post on there. I have utterly no idea otherwise what I am doing. Installing it was the easy part as I am great with installing databases and such. Now, figuring out how to get it to look the way I want it to and get it functioning, now that os another story. The url for it is http://www.redfoxjewelry.com/blog/ . If anyone is saavy with blogs and wants to give me some advice, I am all ears. BTW, I want to do it in the same colors as my shop which are black white and the burnt orange/reddish color with 2 columns and a fixed width. That's about all I can tell you.
