FREE Basic Wire Wrap Tutorials
« on: October 30, 2009, 12:05:47 PM »
I've written several free tutorials on wire wrapping on various subjects. The link will take you to my one of my favorite wire tips. If you scroll down the links will let you download PDF tutorial files on different subjects. All are complete and fairly in-depth tutorials.

I'll post more as time permits.  ;)

Have fun!

Perri your one about basic wrapping through closed spaces is great and absolutely what I needed. I've been just sort of figuring out things as I go (which is fun) but sometimes have been smacking my head trying to sort out why the wire is doing what it is doing, etc.

I absolutely love it when folks share their tips and tricks so thank you!  :-*

Also been finding out a lot has to do with the type of metal and size of the wire. When I was starting out I was using steel wire to practice with and wow, when it gets kinks just forget it. Copper wire is so much nicer to work with.

I guess that's sort of a "duh" moment but ya know...sometimes the brain is slow!

First I would like to thank Perri for these wonderful tutorials (Iam using the one to end my binding wraps) and it just makes all the difference in the finish :-*

Sharon, if you buy regular "craft or beading" wire an easy way to make sure it's copper and not steel is take a small magnet with you when you shop for wire ( the magnet will be attracted to the steel and NOT the copper) It seems there is some "budget " craft wire around  that is steel...it's much stiffer and harder to use ???
